Internship Funding Opportunities

Small Business Internship Award (SCIA) Program

Potential matching funds for internship program:

The Michigan Corporate Relations Network (M-CRN) is a statewide university network designed to create partnerships that will connect state industry to critical university assets in ways that will help the Michigan economy grow and prosper.

Six public universities in Michigan make up the network. They are Michigan State University, Michigan Technological University, Wayne State University, Western Michigan University, and University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Dearborn.

One component of the M-CRN is the creation of a Small-Company Internship Award Program (SCIA).  The program will provide each school with $25,000 of funding per year for two years (2012 and 2013) to help small businesses hire students to work as interns on projects that are both beneficial to the company and academically relevant to the student.
