Employer Internship Training Sessions

Upcoming (free) Employer Internship Training Sessions (EITS):

May 22nd-Flint-Northwood University-Click for details

Internship programs are used as a recruiting strategy by employers, as well as a point of entry for talent to gain experience and potentially, employment opportunities.

To help facilitate the connection between employers, talent, workforce development and educational partners, the partners of the Michigan Internship Initiative facilitate Employer Internship Training Sessions (EITS) throughout the state.

Since late summer of 2010, more than 1300 employers have attended an EITS in Michigan, creating significant opportunities for both employers and talent.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), employers surveyed in 2010 reported that 57.7% of internships converted to full-time employment opportunities, further solidifying the value and importance of creating internship programs.

If you would like to schedule an EITS in your region, please contact Amanda Avila at a.avila@primacivitas.org
