Collaborative, Accelerated, Recruitment & Training (CART):

CART is a dynamic, proven talent development and retention initiative for Michigan.  CART streamlines a process to engage partners from throughout Michigan to recruit and/or train a skilled pool of candidates to satisfy employment/skill gaps. We also promote training opportunities occurring throughout the state.

Internship Program Development:

Internships are a cost-effective recruiting tool that an assist with creating a talent pipeline. Does your organization have an internship program? Would you like to expand or grow an internship program? We can help your organization with all facets of starting or growing an internship program!

Employer Internship Toolkit:

Hello West Michigan and PCF-developed toolkit that helps Michigan employers start or grow internships. Key topics include legalities of working with international students, model internship employment descriptions, exit interview questions, and more!

Young, smart, and global (YSG) talent initiatives:

Spartan Line Initiative:

The Spartan Line is a first-of-its-kind alliance between Amtrak, Michigan State University (MSU) Alumni Association and community partners that delivers Chicago-area Spartans to MSU and back on a uniquely branded weekend experience.

Global Lansing Initiative:

The Global Lansing “Getting Started” Internship Program is an innovative first-of-its-kind initiative that will match international students in Greater Lansing to internships and mentorships with area businesses and entrepreneurs. The launch of the “Getting Started” Program will be the cornerstone of the Global Lansing initiative. Global Lansing’s focus will be to educate, engage and empower the Greater Lansing community to further support and leverage the vast number of international students, scholars, business-owners and residents in the Lansing region.


Job seeker initiatives:

Job Seekers Strategy Group:

The employment market in Michigan continues to be a challenge, with many residents searching for weeks, months, or even years to find an opportunity. Through mentoring, training, and support strategies, our Talent Team’s 12-week Job Seekers Strategy Group program helps job seekers optimize their job searches and improves their chances of finding a job or career. 

Michigan Shifting Gears Program: 

Michigan Shifting Gears (MiSG) is a Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) career-transition program for seasoned corporate professionals who want to pursue opportunities in business growth sectors where they can leverage their business knowledge and experience in new ways. PCF is a regional partner in the program. 

Pure Michigan Job Portal:

Accessible system with hundreds of executive, technical and professional jobs with easy-to-use filters. 

Michigan Works! Agencies:

PCF collaborates with Michigan Works! Agencies throughout the state on various talent initiatives. We encourage job seekers to first check with their local Michigan Works! Agencies for available training and employment opportunities.
