We believe that Michigan can once again be a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship. We design our Entrepreneurship and Innovation programs to have big impacts for innovation-based culture change with a high potential for replication throughout the state.
Innovation Initiatives include:
Funded in large part by the US Navy and NASCAR, Ten80 encourages career preparation and STEM skills in Michigan students through fun racing competitions.
An initiative that incubates pilot programs to impact Michigan's entrepreneurial culture change. MI2M is especially targeted toward K-12 and college entrepreneurial ecosystems.
An initiative that is working to deploy ultra high-speed broadband to university communities. PCF is assisting Gig.U's pilot program, Gigabit Ready, in Mid-Michigan.
Through coordination efforts of PCF, the Michigan State University College of Law is helping West Michigan and mid-Michigan entrepreneurs and small businesses with their intellectual property (IP) questions including patents, copyrights, and trade secrets.
A center based in Holland, Michigan that assists entrepreneurs and small businesses with the development and commercialization of bio-based and environmentally friendly technologies. I6 is a collaborative initiative with the Prima Civitas Foundation, Michigan State University, and others.
The Michigan Economic Center works to develop and promote key policies and practices for advancing our economic future and promotes and facilitates the adoption of the policies and practices by Michigan citizens and leaders.
To help Michigan's economy grow and thrive, we actively work to diversify Michigan's economic sectors by incubating and launching new industries. An example of our new sector development work includes the Michigan Garment Industry.
