Lori Roddy (Associate Executive Director – The Neutral Zone)

 

Lori is the associate executive director at The Neutral Zone. She supports the overall operation and program administration of The Neutral Zone. Additionally, Lori has a special interest in developing youth leadership through organization and program leadership. This past year, Lori initiated the Building Bridges Program and Melting Pot to create cross community partnerships focused on dialogue and social action with youth in Detroit and Ypsilanti. Currently, Lori is working Neutral Zone’s Teen Advisory Council to document and share its practices with other organizations across SE Michigan.

Lori has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan with a focus in community organizing and youth participation. Previously, she taught social studies in Cleveland, OH and volunteered as a teacher in Micronesia with the Jesuit Volunteer International Corps.

 

Diane Wilson (Creative Director – Art Alley)

 

Diane Wilson joined the Office of Governmental Affairs in May 2001. She is responsible for providing executive support to the Vice President and managing all office operations and budgets for the campus office and the Detroit and D.C. offices. Prior to coming to OVPGA, Diane held several positions at Wharton Center for the Performing Arts.  Diane serves as the Creative Director for Art Alley and is the Chair of the Organizing Committee for Women In The Arts, a group who had sponsored and coordinated an arts festival in East Lansing for the past 25 years.  She also promotes concert and music events with Circe Productions and Mosaic Vision.  Diane holds three degrees from Michigan State University: a BA in Women's Studies, a BA in English and an MA in American Studies.
