Young Innovators Competition
In 2009, we launched the state’s first youth-focused business plan competition. Soon to be in its fifth year, the competition has evolved into a “business idea” competition that encourages students to further develop ideas in new products, social solutions, and mobile apps. Participation in the competition has increased from 32 (2009) to over 220 teens (2012) and interest continues to grow.
“I would like to thank PCF for helping me to start my business. The prize money I received went towards starting up my business.” – Alexandra Reau, 2009 First Place competition winner and founder of Garden to Go, a community supported agriculture business.
